A few weeks ago, Lauri and Bill contacted me about a photo session to celebrate their upcoming 30th wedding anniversary. Thirty years of marriage sounds like a long time to someone who is 32 yrs old, so I jumped at the opportunity to meet them because quite frankly, I like people like this. Anyone who can remain happily married for 30 years and then hires a photographer to document the occasion is alright in my book. And of course, I wanted to know their secret to a long, happy marriage. So I asked these highschool sweethearts for the secret. How do you do it? What are your tips and tricks I don’t know about? What is the answer to this riddle…tell me!? The answer was quite fundamental to any relationship. They simply enjoy each other’s company. And as I got to know them during the session, this became very obvious. Aside from my own grandparents, I have never met such a lucky in love couple after so many years of being together. Next we headed to the lake to cool off with Lauri & Bill’s four puppies. I am still in complete shock that we got this shot.
