Jesus & Amy – Filter Building

marriage

the blog

We started the day off right at Hotel Palomar with Amy and her bridesmaids. I loved being a fly on the wall with this fun group of girls. Not to mention the hotel was Midcentury heaven. I am a Midcentury FREAK and oohhed and ahhed over every little detail. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates a little MCM eye candy.

Jesus surprised Amy with a goregous pearl necklace and a sweet love letter. What a guy! Every girl needs a little Tiffany in their life. After that, it was off to the Filter Building for nuptials.

At the last minute the ceremony was moved indoors due to the rain and this room was transformed from reception to ceremony ready with lightning speed. Kudos to everyone for that. And if I may say so, this is where Amy shined. It was POURING outside making their vision of a lake side ceremony impossible. No one would have faulted her for being upset (it rained at my own outdoor wedding and I cried big tears over it) but I never saw Amy’s smile fade once and even heard her joking “isn’t this a beautiful day!” I loved her for that! When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. After the ceremony we had beautiful skies for portraits and even saw a rainbow!

It was a great party! Congrats Amy and Jesus!
