the blog

It has (unbelievably) been over a month since I blogged. For shame! I do have a good excuse though. A lot has happened in that month that hopefully I will be able to write about soon. In short, life changing events occurred! No need to worry. All good events. : )

You may have seen this lovely lady grace my blog over the years. She is my niece whom I only get to see once a year! It’s so hard watching her grow up from a distance. She is turning 16 in a couple of days and wanted a Sweet 16 photo shoot. I just love this age. You can see they are coming into their own beauty, yet still developing adulthood confidence. She is an amazing kid, wise beyond her years. It’s hard to believe she is already prepping for college!! Where does the time go?

Oh, and due to time restrictions I had to shoot this session at high noon!! I was so nervous because we all know the golden hours before sunset are the best time to shoot. I’m thrilled with how these turned out. This just might be my new favorite time to shoot!

Happy Birthday Darrian. We love you and miss you so much! xoxo Hair and Makeup by Balance Deana
