film fridays: a personal project where I put down my digital camera and share images created on film.

…but I got here as fast as I could.

haha! I’m sure my Louisiana peeps will throw holy water on me for this one! But after 15 years, Texas is definitely home now. I love having access to both city and time-stands-still country at my disposal. It’s a great place to live and raise kids. (and the shopping ain’t too shabby, either) Now, if I could just do something about all these republicans…kidding! Don’t get your panties in a wad.

I hail from one of the most historically fascinating states you will ever step foot in. Louisianians are proud of their culture and heritage, and for good reason! Texans are just as proud, though. “Lone Star State”…”Republic of Texas”, anyone?  Texans can be pretty neurotic when it comes to their state pride, so I guess you could say I jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire in that aspect. The mix of my Louisiana roots and time spent in Texas has made me a proud “dirty south” girl. Now, check back with me when that good ol’ southern summer rolls around… I’ll be California dreaming, I’m sure! ; )
