Film Friday // fall foliage and Ektar

film fridays, personal

the blog

The Dallas area is not really known for it’s fall foliage. In fact, most years the leaves just go from green to dead. This fall however, the leaves changed with some of the most vibrant autumn colors I have ever seen. I’m sure it doesn’t compare to the east coast but it was still spectacular to me so I jumped at the chance to capture on film. I used Kodak Ektar which produces incredibly color saturated images.

Asa captured this photo bottom right. Pretty good, eh? He also used kodak ektar 100 in 35mm format. He’ll be sharing his images so check his blog in a few days.Dallas photographer and son photograph leaves changing. Dallas photographer photographs family in fall. These next two are digital but I had to include them because this tree was incredible. It literally stopped me in my tracks and I had to turn my car around to take a picture of it. I believe it’s a Japanese Maple and if that is correct it was the largest I have ever seen and blood red! Dallas photographer Jenny McCann captures autumn leaves in Texas.

Autumn has now passed taking these beautiful colors with it. But at least I have these photos to keep me warm through winter. : ) Happy Film Friday!!
