Dallas Wedding Anniversary Session At-Home

“Dreamy” is the word that comes to mind when I look back at these photos. I had the honor of photographing Brandon and Libby’s wedding almost four years ago, and these images represent the start of an exciting new season of long-awaited togetherness for these two lovebirds. Brandon spent most of the first three years of their marriage overseas and had only been home from the Navy about 9 months when these photos were taken, so this was a very special time for them.

My favorite thing about this anniversary session, aside from hearing Brandon serenade Libby with some Johnny Cash,  was the “just getting started” vibe of their new apartment in Dallas. The simplicity of it gave the feeling that all these two really needed was each other and their sweet Yorkie pup, Charlie. (Biceps and bad ass tattoo not to be overlooked. Hello!)

I had so much fun helping to style this lifestyle shoot, and I love how Libby rocked that vintage camisole from my own collection. I get so excited when clients want me to help them with styling their session. : ) I absolutely love the way it turned out. I think an at-home session is the perfect way to capture an anniversary or engagement photos. Don’t you just love the warm and fuzzies you get from these photos?
