Dallas Arboretum Wedding

. Category: film fridays, marriage

Want to know how far behind I am on blogging? This wedding was in September, six months ago! Yes, that age old where is the time going? is ringing so true for me these days. Why is time moving so fast? Why do I look up and half a year has gone by? My son will be ten years old this year when it just seems like he was born yesterday. A decade of being a mother. What!? To quote one of my favorite movies, “INCONCEIVABLE!!”

But enough of my belly aching. You came to see pretty pictures and I have a sweet elopement to share. I was honored to be asked to photograph Jamie and Dillon’s intimate ceremony at the Dallas Arboretum. Family and friends gathered as they exchanged vows in the lush Poetry Garden. My husband and I eloped in Hawaii and I have a HUGE soft spot for elopements. Their ceremony reminded me so much of our day: Calm, low key and in a beautiful space. Happy 6th month anniversary, Jamie and Dillon!

Many thanks to Simply Elope for featuring this beautiful day on their blog.

At home cooking engagement

. Category: film fridays, marriage

If I had to choose (like, gun to my head situation) just one thing to photograph forever, it would have to be engagement sessions. Working with real couples during this time is so very satisfying. Everyone is excited… yet relaxed at the same time. We’re not under the pressure of the wedding day timeline and have time to play and experiment with different concepts. And I love it even more when a couple gives me free rein to style their engagement session! So happy Jennie and Josh trusted me and many other talented vendors to do just that. Can’t wait for wedding day!

Many thanks to Elizabeth Anne Designs for featuring this session on their beautiful blog!!

Leeza and Leo in Colorado

. Category: film fridays, marriage

Last October I flew out to Boulder, Colorado to photograph Leeza and Leo’s engagement session in the Rocky Mountains. This was my third time visiting Colorado and every time I go I am in awe. The beauty there is surreal. The air a little fresher. And I always have this feeling like I’m returning home. I can’t explain it but I am definitely drawn to it. I hope the people that live there know just how lucky they are to have such beauty at their finger tips. ; )

Thank you to Magnolia Rouge for featuring this engagement session on their blog!
